Private aircrafts by their specific nature are handy, lush, and a true enjoyment to have the chance to fly on, nonetheless the actual number of executives and companies choosing to fly privately has recently increased largely because they perceive private aviation to in fact be much more safe than commercial flights.

Rather than spending your money on a private aircraft, countless business owners are looking at fractional jet ownership as it gives you access to a large variety of jets thus allowing those that need to charter a business plane to have all of the advantages of owning a private jet, without having to worrying about the repairs or employee overheads.

To further improve the safety of these business planes, many jet companies are only letting their pilots to fly one specific make of aeroplane.

These large fleets of aeroplanes each of which differ in shape, range and speed and all have a totally different display arrangement and flying performance. As with any type of machine that you might possibly have worked with at some point in the past, you will without doubt know that it takes a great deal of time to fully familiarise yourself with the controls and arrangement, and by only permitting a pilot to operate one specific variety of jet, then you never have to be alarmed about the pilot being in an unknown cabin.

This is why when chartering a business aircraft; you ought to select a company that only allows their pilot to fly one particular make of plane, as this will ensure that they are totally familiar with their aircraft and instruments, giving you the highest safety possible. Find private jet charters and more information on flying privately from leading companies online.

By specialising on one specific make of jet, whether it is a Hawker 440XP or the considerably larger Gulfstream G550, you are secure in the knowledge that your pilot is properly prepared for every situation and eventuality, and will therefore respond as swiftly as physically possible, thus ensuring the best possible safety levels for you, and your family.

Add this with a complete maintenance team looking after the aircraft range, and a culture of on-going tutoring and learning by the pilots, you can be 100% certain that private aviation is without doubt the safest mode of transport around these days.

Last Week,an astounding thing passed off on little old Hayling Island. There was a 8 metre long whale beached on a mudflat just to the north of Hayling in the adjoinging Langstone Harbour, Hampshire.

Unfortunately, the Northern Bottlenose whale had suffered from severe dehydration, which resulted in it suffering from kidney failure, when it became immobilised on Tuesday night.

There was a super rescue scheme, where people tried bravely to salvage the whale’s life. At one point the trained medics felt that the had to issue a lethal injection to put the whale to sleep. Yet, the whale then floated out to sea for one last time. Regrettably, it came back towards the coast again and was beached for a 2nd and last time.

The special vets adjudicated that the only caring thing to do would be to issue the lethal injection, which they did on Friday morning. They used Immobilon, which was a very fast and lethal strength of anaesthetic.

If the mammal wasn’t put to sleep, the experts believe that it would have taken about 2 further days for the mammal to die, during which it would have been sick and distressed.

It seemed bizarre that the 6 tonne mammalian, which is usually found about 3000 miles away, finished up here on Hayling Island, but it is another wonderful story that this south coast little island, called Hayling brings to its history.

There were around a dozen firefighters, police, coastguard personnel as well as members of the Hayling Island harvour lifeboat staff involved in the attempt.

The following top five cannot be taken as authoritative, it has my top ski areas in Europe. Others could opt for Luz Ardiden, Chastreix-Sancy and Les Deux Alpes however these areas are my top ski fields. My top five list for the alps in the summer will follow later.

1. Les Deux Alpes, France ” Brilliant for all standards and infamous for its combination of summer and winter skiing with an excellent snow record. It is one enormous skiing resort where you’ll feel at ease.

2. Verbier, Switzerland ” With its four fantastic valleys and over 240 miles of slopes, this is a resort more for the experienced skier looking for a challenge. Exploring its off piste and moguls are just some of the things that make it worth your visit.

3. Cortina d`Ampezzo, Italy ” Picture perfect, the most beautiful winter wonderland resort in the world, its fantastic slopes are idyllic for beginners and intermediates. The scenery is jaw dropping even if the skiing isnt.

4. Wengen, Switzerland ” This beautiful ski resort exudes charm from the moment you arrive. It’s an easy going place; with many of the ski pistes having gentle runs leading up to Grindelwald.

5.Kitzbhel, Austria ” the 5 main skiing areas around the resort have plenty of slopes catering to the needs of everyone – this ski resort is one to try out. Contrary to the easy going nature of most of the courses Kitzbhel contains one of the most challenging world cup circuit courses in the world, the Hahnenkamm.

Wherever you’re going, whether it’s a quick weekend away or a two week vacation on the other side of the world, you must remember to take out travel insurance . You may think it’s an unnecessary additional expense when you’ve already paid out for fares and accommodation, but leaving it out could be a big mistake. For the sake of $10 for one-trip cover or $50 for a whole year you could face losing literally hundreds of dollars worth of goods if they get lost, stolen or damaged. Without insurance you’ll have no comeback if a thief takes your wallet or your laptop while your back’s turned. It can all happen in a matter of minutes, and without insurance there’s nothing you can do about it. It’s even worse if your bank cards are stolen and you have to go through the hassle of getting new ones issued. Traveling without insurance is undoubtedly a false economy.

And if you’re traveling to Venice you’ll need an up to date Italy travel guide . These pocket guides have all the information you need in one compact location. You’ll be able to find accommodation, places to eat and drink, places to go, and places to relax. You can decide to go shopping, to an art gallery, or to the cinema. With a travel guide you’ll never be short of ideas for where to go and what to do. They also come with a useful set of maps and handy phrases in case you fancy exploring a little bit off the beaten track. If you do happen to get lost you’ll be able to navigate your way back to the hotel by using the local streetmap. If you’re not very good with map reading you can ask for assistance from a friendly policeman. He’ll be more than happy to help you, especially as you’ve taken the trouble to learn a bit of Italian .

Recent careful GPS measurements conducted on the 15-16th Sept have shown that Mont Blanc amounts to 4810.5 m. Mount-Blanc is layered by a deep ice cap which has increased by 2.8 meters in precisely two years but more surprising the volume of the snow and ice has virtually doubled up . Leastwise that is as reported by the scientists. The bulk of snow and ice was measured for the initial time in 2002. It measured 14400 cubic metres higher than 4760 meters. It amounted to only 13700 metres cubed in 2002 perhaps owing to the heat wave with plus temp even at 4800 m altitude. Nevertheless the ice has all but doubled since then and now numbers 24000 meters cubed.

Chamonix Mont Blanc’s reputable near by weather man Hermelinda Ralston said the growth in the mass of the ice cap is one of the perverse effects of global warming: Snowfall has not accumulated generally in the French Alps merely with the climate change we are having additional warm westerly air currents that bestow rainfall lower down however during summertime this results in compact snowfall that rests above 3500 m height hence the amount of the ice is expanding. Compare this to the state of affairs during winter time where snow crystals are very cold and are carried by the wind and so do not rest on the summit. Chamonix village is not just well known for Mount Blanc it is also a world renowned skiing town and alpinism centre with lot’s of snowboarding bargains and self catering chalets to be found. And at just 1 hr from Geneva airport it is ideal for chalet holidays.

The pound is fetching less than the euro at currency exchanges, one would believe there would be a few brilliant ski deals to be had in alpine ski resorts this winter as snowboarders rest back home to fight the crunch. Provisional figures recently publicised point to the fact that ski towns are 89 % full over the holiday time period. 10 percent up on the identical period of time last year.

You’ll have more chance in January which currently has a 34 % reserve level. The signs of a downturn is across the significant school vacation month that has 62 percent reservations, 3 % lower than last year. Booking kiosks in the ski resorts of Tignes-les-Brevieres, Plateau de Beille, Le Grand-Bornand and La Rosiere have observed increased demand during Dec advanced by the fantastic early ski season snows. Flaine has better bookings in comparison to last year, and Les Orres had an exceptional New Year and Christmas as did Alps Chamonix.

But there is substantial call for larger chalets, 6 to 12 spaces, as skiers group up to save money. Early evidence shows that do it yourself ski trips are holding up, perhaps pointing to the fact that keen skiers are not going to sacrifice their skiing holiday. Bookings from package holidays are down on last year.

Countless skiers will shortly be searching for their ski equipment and dashing forth seeking the biggest snow.

And doubtless the impact of our carbon footprint will be about as far down the list of vacation essentials as a xmas cracker after the Christmas holidays.

But last winter, a late snowfall was in the broadsheets and tourists were panicky about the flecks of snow disappearing nearly as soon as they landed.

Ski company Chalet1802, located at the foot of Mount Blanc in Chamonix the French Alps, is one of the first autonomous firms to go carbon neutral and give snowboarders an environmentally friendly selection when reserving their ski vacations.

Chalet1802 owner Sahara said: Last winter was a bit of a surprise with the most warm winter in sixty years in the French Alps. French skiing areas such as La Plagne, Araches-la-Frasse and Espace Killy lacked clients. It was mild and the snow did not last so a lot of the early winter ski season in the French Alps was uneven. We decided to go carbon negative to help preserve the snowboarding resort.

Sahara said: We’re not seeking to prescribe to guests but we think its of import to give the clients the alternative without augmenting the price of the stay. When the guest book with us they may more than off set their carbon footprint and we take in the added costs. Naturally we still have a sauna and a hot tub – guests want lavishness but not at the expense of the environs, so we looked at ways of decreasing the results of a skier flying over here for a ski holiday.”

Access to the downtown is attainable via a comfortable walk or a short bus ride down the famous Via Bolognese.
This grand Villa captures both the traditional Tuscan style and atmosphere while incorporating the comforts and amenities available today.
With vineyards and olive orchards that beautify the grounds, Villa Ulivi allows for a relaxing retreat from the hustle-and-bustle of the nearby city centre.
Villa Ulivi is located in a prestigious residential area of Florence, very close to the centre and to the main monuments and attractions.
In spite of its central situation, Villa Ulivi is immersed in a garden planted with fragrant roses and lavender, at the end of a shady horse-chestnuts drive. Large and elegant rooms, illuminated by the Tuscan sun and open onto the gardens of the historic Villa, have been added in the course of the last two centuries to the fascinating ancient wine-cellars and horse-stables.
From the main terrace of Villa Ulivi, guests can easily enjoy the view of Florence and of its incomparable, unspoilt countryside. Infact, the main terrace is situated on the top of the building and it opens onto a wide view of the unique Florentine landscape, that was described by Fernand Braudel as “the most exciting countryside in the world”.
At Villa Ulivi, furnishings have been chosen, with an eclectic taste, both among Tuscan pieces of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries and from the most heterogeneous styles, creating an atmosphere that is, at the same time, classical and particular, and overall suitable for the guests who want to spend a first class charming holiday, as it is usual in the most fascinating historic Florentine Villas.
During their holidays, guests also can use a private chapel for romantic religious services; on request, the best chefs can delight you with a delicious private little party …
Periodically owners also organize cooking classes.
Excellent wine and oil are produced at the Villa.
It is also available, in the common areas, an Internet point and the Telefax service.
English, French, Polish and Russian are spoken.
